I've had a long love of birds that has only come to the forefront within the last year.
All of the images here (that involve birds, needless to say,) are based on specific creatures, each one beautiful and unique. My work here is certainly not an attempt to improve upon them.
I change the head and face in the manner that I do simply because I find it visually appealing— and the fact is, I love the individuality of faces as much as I appreciate the lovely peculiarity of birds.
We'll see where this leads.
And while I wouldn't call myself an animal fanatic, I would perhaps consider myself a bit of an environmentalist... as much as any average person can be.

That said, a portion of all of the sales of the bird paintings or
prints will be donated to the American Bird Conservancy and/ or the NRDC.
